This week we watched a debate about whether Australia needs a new flag.
We have designed our own new Australian flags.
-Describe your flag
-What symbols did you put on your flag? Why?
-What colours did you put on your flag? Why?
-Do you think Australia should have a new flag? Why/why not?
.My flag is almost the same only the blue in the backround is shaped as a wave to show the ocean because Australia is surrounded
. the same origanal symbals because i didn’t want to change the flag too much
.blue red and white because they are the same as the origanal flag
.i dont think Australia needs a new flag because it has always been the same for a long time and it has been through alot

very colurful and australian kinder flag because it has a kangaroo on it
I put a kangaroo and a bit of australia flag on it and stars i put on it.
I put green, blue, black ,yellow and red
I think we should keep our old flag because it represents the army and things like that
1.The right side of the flag is blue with the southern cross and a Dingo in the bottom right corner. The left side is black with a aboriginal designed boomerang coming out of the federal star and has a kookaburra in the top right corner. In the middle of the flag looking up is a kangaroo thats yellow and black.
2. The Federal star, boomerang, kookaburra, kangaroo, dingo & the southern cross. The Kangaroo, Kookaburra & Dingo are unique australian animals. The souther cross is a part of Australian history (so is the federal star) and the Boomerang is part of aboriginal history.
3. Red, Black, Yellow, Green & Blue. Red, Black & Yellow are of the aboriginal flag. The blue is on the original Australian flag & green is one of two national colors.
4. I think that Australia should have a new flag (ONLY FOR SPORTING EVENTS!!!!!!!) because to change it for the original could wreck Australian history & it wouldn’t be as respectable to the ANZAC’s.

– My flag has 3 different colours green, yellow and black. On one side it has a kangaroo and on the other the southern cross.
-The two symbols I put on my flag was a kangaroo and the southern cross cause there signifcant to Australia.
-The green for for the plants and the yellow for the goldrush.
– I think we should have a new flag because were not ruled by England any more

I think that our Australian flag can have more detail on it but leave the southern cross on it because that is what represents our Country most of all.
I really like all the flag you have made
I think that the Australian flag should stay the same because it has gone through so much and it carrys years of histry with it and to change the flag would destroy that history.the flag links us to our rooots and the aboriganal flag links the aborigonals to there history so to replace the flag is like burning a book the tells a never ending story of Australia and every that it is and stands for every thing and that is why we should keep our flag and we should fly it with prid in knowing that it is our flag.
