Next Tuesday we are going to watch Oz Opera’s ‘The Barber of Seville’. The show is set in the City of Seville, which is in Spain. Your task is to find out more about the City of Seville and the part of Spain that it is located in. You need to put this information on your blog as a post. Some ideas of things to research are:

•  Population
•  Language
•  Arts and culture
•  Customs
•  Sport
•  Agriculture

Today we opened our Earn and Learn shops. Earn and Learn is like the real world. We all have jobs, such as business owner, DJ, bank manager and newspaper editor. We buy things from each other and get paid for government jobs. We have to pay for rent, transport and food.

Here’s some photos of us working!

1. Choose two Fun Run/Marathons to research:

For example:

• Bendigo Fun Run
• Mother’s Day Classic
• Colour Run
• Melbourne Marathon
• City to Surf
• One of your choice

2. Create a Venn diagram which compares the two events. You might compare the cost, city, country, length of race/s, number of entrants, time of year that it is held.

3. Create a post on your blog which has a short description of each Fun Run and your Venn diagram.

Today we found a ransom note! We used chromatography to investigate which pen was used to write the note.

The Age had an interesting article about being a 13 year old. We read the article below as part of our guided reading groups.
